How about just hitting the Restart key and causing a machine check?
Why would the RESTART key (which today is a function on the HMC, RESTART
or PSW RESTART) cause a machine check? It causes a PSW RESTART, which
loads a PSW from a defined low-store location. For many years, that PSW
has invoked a system recovery routiine; as I recall, it usually is used
when some system task is looping and can't be cancelled so it results in
a S071 abend of that task. Something like that
