Mike, I'd try disabling and then rebuilding the vtoc index before you go as far as re initing.

Hi all, ISPF Option 3.4 with just the volser, I receive message in the upper right corner of the screen. "Incomplete VTOC list" PF1 shows "Index entry not included because VTOC entry does not exist." I assume this dasd is trashed and need to be re-inited? The data sets are still working. I can allocate a new datasets.
