Offer good until 10/31/2006 <g>. I *think* IBM has just gone to putting "z/OS" into every announcement. I *think* you can install the latest alternate library on OS/390. I am running V2R10 and I don't recall where I got the library from. I don't want to try installing anything new as I don't want to crap anything up -- also I am up to my butt right now with other stuff. Mostly I guess that's it -- I should be able to install the latest in a new library and not touch the old. I recall it's a simple download and RECEIVE, not SMP/E magic. Do you recall? Is that right? It sounds like you are shipping a commercial product written in compiled Rexx. That's the boat I am also in. Perhaps we should touch base and trade resources? Have you seen my recent posts on IDENTIFY and ALIASes? That is all about Rexx function packages. Do you ship function packages? I'm trying to get away from having to name the darned thing IRXFLOC or similar and I am finally there -- but calling IRXINIT yourself is a bitch.
