"It will
no longer be necessary to know your ip address and enter it on the panel
to start a WSA session." Does anyone know when this option will come
available? or is anyone already using the option? or has anyone already
written a clist to do this exact thing?
Cynthia,
I understand the new option will be available in z/OS 1.8, and I'm really
looking forward to it.
SimpList has an option to automatically detect and connect to a users IP
address, but it only works if the user has a direct TELNET connection. If
they don't, then a pop-up panel prompts them to enter their IP address. If
the z/OS 1.8 enhancement is really able to determine a users IP address no
matter how they connect, then that's going to be a huge bonus. I think a lot
of people will finally get to see what they've been missing!
