1. Do Flashcopy relationships established through the z/OS interfaces
show up in the DS GUI screens? They don't on mine and I want to make
sure it isn't something I'm missing.
Sorry don't know. I play a lot with Flashcopy but only from the mainframe. I would think they are SUPPOSED to show up
2. Is there some command within any of the z/OS interfaces (dfdss, TSO,
ickdsf) that will show me a simple source-->target relationship report
for all the flashcopies in place? I am using the FCQUERY command but it
leaves a lot to be desired. It will show that a volume has
relationships, and how many, but not what the destination volumes are.
All I want is a list of "this source volume is attached to this/these
target volumes".
Not from the TSO commands, but if you write a program using the ANTRQST macros you can get more detailed info on the sessions. See the "Advanced Copy Services" manual SC35-0428
3. Is there someplace the TSO commands are documented? I would read
the manual - if I could find one! I've searched the TSO bookshelf as
well as the DS6800 books to no avail.
same manual as above. If your copy is more than 3 years old, they may not be in there. It took IBM some time to add them.
