What does it show for the allocation?  If you don't see SPACE-PRI = 30
and SPACE-SEC = 2, your DEFINE must not have worked as expected.  Do
you still have the output from the define, including the JESYSMSG?

Check the output from the DEFINE carefully.

You might want to look at the JESYSMSG to see if SMS put it on another
volume.  That wouldn't explain why you can't LISTCAT it, though.
