>If you have an OSA adapter, or some other TCP/IP network interface, you can run the TN3270 server that comes with TCP/IP
The last stat I heard was a single OSA was good for 13,000 sessions. With VIPA, multiple images, the sky is the limit. (Can you say: "We will only ever need to use 640"?) All kidding aside, you can do a lot with OSA. I was involved with a conversion from SNA to TCP/IP, and we did not use any offload processing. We couldn't measure the change in resource consumption. - Too busy driving to stop for gas! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
