Have you any idea how to achieve that.  What  do you mean by "via means
other than EXEC PARM".

Oh....  Well, I can just barely spell "Java", but doesn't the JVM run in
its own address space?  Even if it's just a subtask of your batch
program, can't it have its own environment, including LE parms, that can
be passed via means other than the EXEC PARM for the batch program?
