Well I haven't applied for too many jobs in the past, but when I applied at CA last year, my interviewers either "knew" me from ibm-main, or did some background research that included ibm-main. Evidently I passed the test :-) Unfortunately it is becoming more common for people's online personas to collide with their real lives in unexpected ways - consider all of the kids using YouTube without any thought to the fact that other people (including potential employers) would see their beer-bust videos too. Stupidity in cyberspace is forever. We sure live in interesting times huh.
