When I was at P&H Mining, we ran a Compaktor job every evening an hour
before the heavy batch cycle started. I set up the job to compact
everything that had a fragmentation index of over .300. There were volumes
that were compakted almost every day, but most volumes were done rarely.
As far as compacting DFHSM level 1 volumes, they were also run using the
fragmentation index above.
