One of the most valuable lesson's that I learned during my early days as a 
systems programmer (way back in the last millenium) was how to use the 
library of publications. Today with that library electronic it is even 
easier to find the information one needs (the downside to the electronic 
pubs is that you don't flip pages so you don't 'accidentally' run across 
other interesting and potentially useful information on your way to 
finding your answer).
