We recently did this, so I sent him, offline, a note about our experiences We learned a number of things by flogging around. For folks who want to 'fly under the radar' and install Linux in an LPAR in order to experiment, there is not much straightforward information. The Redbooks and the SHARE sessions are orientated toward sites with VM and with officially sanctioned (service contract) versions of Linux.
