Peter, yes, something as you suggested. My reading of the manual was not clear to me how the OUTVALID field is to be used, so clarifying it to say that 'rc=0 means all fields are valid, and rc=4 means that you must interrogate the OUTVALID field to see which returned fields are valid' would be very helpful.
