I still find Windows 2000 professional the best choice. Intel supplies all
drivers for it, also wireless...
In terms of *relative resources used* versus *resources available to the
user* I experience roughly the following:

w2K 25 -75
WXP 50 -50
WV 75-25

So go for a laptop with an all Intel board and get the drivers for W2K from
the Intel site.

Cheers
Bob

Hello All.

I am in the market for a new notebook/laptop. I am looking at DeLL,
Toshiba
and recommendations from this group.
Any suggestions are gratefully appreciated.

One thing that has turned me off is having no choice between Vista & XP
Pro.

TIA
Carol
