After going from z/OS V1.4 to z/OS V1.7 I have noticed that we are now
getting our catalogs Auto tuned.
IEC391I CATALOG CATALOG.DIC3.TECH HAS BEEN AUTOTUNED TO:
IEC391I BUFNI: 4 BUFND: 18 STRNO: 2
Is there some sort of performance issue I should be aware of? Should I
turn it off until we are ready to tune our catalogs? Or is it better to
take the action recommended?

We just let it merrily do it's thing.
The only ongoing issue that I know of for 1.7 is the "Catalog Damage
Alert" thread which was covered in the last couple of days dealing with
OA19870. I've been trying to get into IBMLINK to check out the promised
update, but we all know how that's going.

The PTFS for apar OA19870, UA33288 and UA33289 (zOS 1.7&1.8) are
available and you should be able to get them with the smpe receive from
network function even while IBMLINK is down.
