Me too. So long as the assembler is limited to "card image" input, I
really hate long symbols. I don't mind upper/lower case as much. But
since the assembler is "case insensitive", I see no reason to use lower
case at all, other than for character string data (mixed case is easier
for me to read than UPPER CASE ONLY).
