Hi,
I am curious how many other folks disable the Health Checker for z/OS check
CHECK(IBMVSM,VSM_SQA_THRESHOLD) because they normally run with SQA or ESQA
allocated at more than 100% converting some CSA/ECSA.
I normally do this rather than over allocate SQA/ESQA but since the check
reports integers more than 100% but doesn't allow you to input a PARM outside
the range 0-100 you cannot allow for what is normal.
I was revisiting checks I had to disable in the past realized I had not seen
this discussed. To me this seems like a pretty common requirement.
Who else would like to see this changed to allow 0-999 as a check parm to
process correctly?
CHECK(IBMVSM,VSM_SQA_THRESHOLD)
START TIME: 09/06/2007 09:21:36.069007
CHECK DATE: 20040910 CHECK SEVERITY: MEDIUM
CHECK PARM: SQA(100%),ESQA(100%)
The current allocation of SQA storage is 668K (41% of the
total size of 1612K). The highest allocation during this IPL is 43%.
Ensuring an appropriate amount of storage is available is critical to
the long term operation of the system. An exception will be issued when
the allocated size of SQA is greater than the installation specified
threshold of 100%.
* Medium Severity Exception *
ESQA utilization has exceeded 100% and is now 101%
Explanation: The current allocation of ESQA storage is 101% of
87248K. -1301K (17179869183G%) is still available.
The highest allocation during this IPL is 110%.
This allocation exceeds the installation threshold.
