OS/VS2 version of HASP and ASP:
OS/VS2 was derived from OS/360 MVT. When Poughkeepise put the first
release of VS2 out, they chose not to copy JES. They chose to use
HASP and ASP doing the same thing they did in OS/360. There was no
JES CI or RCI.
The HASP for OS/SVS was HASP 4. There was a User Written HASP MOD
that allowed HASP4 to run under OS/VS1 using the JES1 RDR and WTR
Support in the same way that HASP 3.x did for OS/360. IOW: Whenever a
JES1 INIT went idle, a job was read into a RDR to supply something to
run in it and when a job completed it was written to a WTR - The only
jobs that were under the control of JES1 were those that were
actually in execution.
