Since you have the timezone command, you must also be running on
a version that has SMTPNOTE that allows for SYSTZ usage. Have a
look at hlq.SEZAINST(SMTPNOTE).
I wonder why the authors of SMTPNOTE implemented that GetTZ routine. In
my experience, if you leave the "Date:" line off completely, SMTP
automatically supplies that information. And, with TIMEZONE SYSTZ, the
SMTP-supplied value should always be correct. No?
This is true, but there is one problem. The date added by SMTP has
a 2 digit year, and some mailers reject it. I opened a problem on
this, and IBM said another customer had already complained about
this, and they were considering changing it. Don't know if they will,
or when. The default SMTPNOTE may have the same problem, I don't
use it, and haven't checked, but you could always change it yourself.
