suggest IBM course ES420. Or free redbooks.
What I really would like to know is what will I be missing in the basic
sysplex that exists in the parallel sysplex.
That's the question. What is your current configuration, why do you want
(basic) sysplex, what features do you miss ?
I would suggest lecture of gf225115 "Value_of_Resource_Sharing".
Although it describes features mostly available on parallel sysplex, it
shows interesting approach.
