You're right. Mark said he didn't have a tape drive on his z9. My bad. (I am mystified by tapeless mainframes. How does one take a stand-alone dump? How do you get a large dump to the Support Center?) I'd get FLEX-CUB or something to attach to my external disks. While it may be possible to get the file that contains the disk volume over onto the VM system, I don't think there's any CMS Pipelines support for it. And I don't know if the FLEX folks document the format of the disk files the way they do for AWSTAPE.
