I have a degree in math and a minor in electrical engineering.
So, I have a strong mathematical background.
But I recently found that it intimidates others when I explain the formula
for calculating the percent change in a variable, which I think I learned
around my 8th grade.
So I've learned not to encourage computational or terminological correctness
too loudly when being shouted down by group-think.
