Ah yes, I learned what the real meaning of "Julian Date" is when I was given the task of doing capacity planning on the Tandem systems in my shop. The Tandem monitoring software actually uses the real Julian date as defined by that Wikipedia article for some if its date/time stamps. Why they did that I'll never know. It was a real pain to work with.
