Unfortunate, but true.

A good friend of mine was hired by Gartner in the mid 1990's.
He was doing 'research' on the mainframe vs Client/Server.
That consisted of calling me and asking the cost for a typical CICS transaction 
per second.

He was making a buck and a half for doing this!
