Okay, I'll bite. ;-) Data sets can be selected from a DSLIST using 'N' for traNsfer (if SimpList is installed). The transfer takes place using the ISPF Workstation Agent. 'N' for traNsfer can also be used from other types of lists, such as selecting members from a member list or selecting PC files from a workstation list (where a workstation list is a PC directory that's displayed on the mainframe).
