Mark, Allow me to add my 2 bits. Try the following: A)TSO OPTION 6 B) Enter command :VTOC V(XXXXXX) SP xxxxxx=volser C) In the "STATUS" it will post "SMS" if the pack is under SMS. P.S. You can enter VTOC V(X) SP which will give you all dasd starting with "X". Good luck.
