Normally IBM announces new mainframe lines around 2 years apart so this was later than we usually see. You don't specify if your shop installed a z9 EC or a z9 BC. This announcement is for the next generation in the EC size. You can expect a BC in the z10 family in the future, but note that the z9 BC was announced on July 20, 2006, approximately one year after the z9 EC. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
