Yes. Neither the old APPC support in VTAM nor the (not so) recent APPC

That's part of the APPC application suite, *NOT* part of the APPC support.

z/OS 1.7 if he retains the libraries? I understand that if it does he will
still be on his own.
Sorry, I don't know for sure. (Obviously we did not test it.) I would
expect that they would work, but that's a guess.
