Chris,

We use Anynet in a very simple state. It is used to allow client
workstations to communicate with z/OS to access VSAM files using
Distributed File Manager. Va-Gen is an application development tool for
generating and testing code at the workstation level. You can
communicate with DB2 & CICS from the workstation to the z/OS subsystems
using DB2 Connect & CICS Gateway. Rational Business Developer is the
follow-up to Va-Gen (Visual Age Generator). In any case, as you stated,
Anynet no longer works past z/OS 1.7. So I have to implement EE. I just
want to implement it in it's most simplified state because that is how
Anynet is used here. Only on one LPAR for development/testing.
