I thought that I had this figured out, but I don't...On Sunday morning Operations had done a POR (Power On Reset) to load a new configuration (SYS1.IODF00). The new configuration deleted old (no longer existing) devices and switched the 3174 console controllers to ESCON direct (without a converter). In the clean up as I was deleting old disks, I missed the fact that the esoteric called VIO was deleted because the disk associated with it were gone. To try and fix the problem I added VIO, but for some reason, I can't dynamically activate the new configuration. When I display the active configuration it says to both Hardware / Software changes allowed: the word No. Does anyone know how I can get around this problem?
Help will be appreciated...
