Just to clear up any confusion..... In the past, I requested that any advertisements be cleared with me first. This was to cut down on excessive advertisements being posted to the list. As long as no one abused the priviledge, occassional ads were ok. It has always been this way and I have probably received only 2-3 complaints over the last 20 something years. I try to let the subscribers handle things and only step in and be "dictatorial" when things get out of hand. If someone is abusing the list, I will usually receive several off-list complaints from seasoned subscribers. This is how things have always worked. And no, there is no charter or list of rules, etc.
