Subject: Is this email formatted correctly?
<INSERTED INFO: Assuming OUTLOOK does not do any thing more, you email
appears with "=" signs and two more characters, or "=" with a blank.
Your URL is mangled, badly>
When I send emails to IBM-MAIN=2C I always try to remember to click the
'Sh= ow plain text' button. Otherwise=2C the email is sent as rich text
and I've= been told that everything flows into one big 'blob' and is
difficult to re= ad.
=20
This formatting problem doesn't occur when I send emails to individuals.
An= d because the default always go back to rich text=2C I sometimes
forget to = click the 'plain text' button when sending emails to
IBM-MAIN. Because this= is a pain=2C I've just reported it to Microsoft
and they've asked me to se= nd them an example of what people receive.
So=2C if anyone is reading this = message and the formatting doesn't
look 'right'=2C would you mind sending i= t back to me so I can forward
it to Microsoft?
=20
Just so you know what the formatting 'should' look like=2C I manually
enter= ed the following:
=20
This is on a line all by itself.
This is on a line all by itself=2C and indented 3 spaces.
Same as above but indented 6 spaces.
Once again=2C but only indented 3 spaces.
Not indented.
=20
The paragraph below is identical to the paragraph above=2C except that I
pa= sted it from a mainframe session (just in case it makes any
difference):
=20
This is on a line all by itself. This is on
a =
line all by itself=2C and indented 3 spaces. Same as above but
indent=
ed 6 spaces. Once again=2C but only indented 3
spaces. =
Not indented.
