There are a couple of options. If you have DTS Software's SMSDEBUG you could run the diag and get the info with it.
Or if you have QuickRef by Chicago Soft and it is at least 6.6 or above, you can bring up a DASD list which can list by storage goup. Then place the cursor on the DASD volume that contains that data set. With ISMF you would look up the volume the data set is on and then check to see what storage group it is in (option 6). Or show your ACS code to the auditor to show how it gets there. Otherwise, if it lands on the right volume, then the storage group is working correctly.
