used to be called Teknekron Software Systems, a competitor to Reuters
Financial services. they had a relatively nimble product then called TIB
(Teknekron Information Bus) that provided real-time digital feed, along
with a 'portal' called MarketSheet.
then Reuters bought them. their competing distribution platform then was
Triarch.
then they renamed the company based on their product (TIBCO)
supporting TIB/MarketSheet was somewhat difficult when calling Reuters
help desk. when asking about instrument symbols, Triarch uses the dot
'.' as the prefix while TIB uses caret '^'.

Supposedly they develop mainframe/open systems related products.
