Frank, We are at RELEASE z/OS 01.09.00. You suggest that I use DSNTYPE=LARGE. I assume you mean to create a DATACLAS LARGE?

There are 3 mod-3 volumes empty. I checked the storage group and all is well. If I allocate the dsn of 3,000 cyls it works. Do I need to define the dsn as XTDENDED?
