I do not find it difficult. Where it might be difficult would be if the Linux "stuff" (shell scripts for example) were not easily available to the z/OS system. E.g. I use Co:Z to run some scripts on my Linux desktop. With the appropriate NFS mount, I can create, edit, and delete those scripts on my z/OS system. But without them, it is really a mess for a "z/OS bigot" who doesn't want to logon to the Linux system and used either vim or emacs. The Co:Z process that I use transfers RACF information to my Linux system. Once the I run scripts to use that information to populate a PostgreSQL database (no DB on z/OS, it is too expensive!). I then run a number of PSQL scripts to do some reports for me. Very nice and relatively easy. -- John ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
