You decide what is the name of system, sysplex and sysres volume.
Symbols are variables which contain the names.
Caution: some names can be defined in more than one way (place).

if we used symbolics(for ipl purposes) ,to which I replied we do.
I thought we did by looking at my prog member and saw &sysr1 the the vol
field.
Now I am really confused. How do I id if we are using symbolics?

I know that parmlib member ieasymxx contains system substitutions , but
when
we IPL I see others: IEA007I STATIC SYSTEM SYMBOL VALUES 065
&SYSALVL. = "2"
&SYSCLONE. = "P1"
&SYSNAME. = "DOLCP1"
&SYSPLEX. = "DOLCPLEX"
&SYSR1. = "SYSRES"
&SYCI1. = "SYCIC1"
The only one I can find is the syci1 entry. I have looked at all defined
parmlibs(as defined in our sys1.iplparm) members(did a 3.14 on the libs) so
I am now lost.
Where are/could these other symbol be defined??
