It's really a subjective thing, they all are mature and very good. Each
works a bit differently, and I think if you're trying to decide which to
buy, it really comes down to price.

There are people who love each of the tape management systems, then there
are those that hate them all equally:).

If you want a comparison of the various systems, you can probably find them
on the web sites of those products. They truly seem to love to compare
themselves to other ones. It's kind of like deciding between Syncsort and
DF/Sort. Again, both are great products (even CA-sort isn't bad from a
certain point of view:). It just really comes down to who will give you the
best price.

You might want to write down a list of what features you absolutely have to
have and go to each vendor and ask them to write a reply to your list to
explain how each is accomplished. That will not only give you a cheat
sheet, but will show you which one has the best support turnaround.

If you have a specific question about a specific feature, then you will
probably get a good response from the people on this list, otherwise, people
on the list tend to get testy when someone is just fishing around for
answers without asking any questions. It really is difficult to format a
technical reply when you don't really have a technical question to reply to.

Good luck,

Brian
