WLM INITs are the way to go. But WLM inits aren't for all applications / needs. Many shops (including ours) have a class (or a few classes) set aside for JES2 initiators for jobs that must get initiated immediately, regardless of the system utilization being at or near 100%. This can be anything, but often, from what I have seen over the years, it is a job submitted from CICS or MQ that is part of a "transaction".
