Windows Guests on z/VM is the project being worked on by Mantissa Corp - named "z/VOS":

Mantissa described the project at the last SHARE, in Austin TX (although they didn't have a running demo at that stage).

Apparently Mantissa's project has IBM's approval. I heard some scuttlebutt that IBM had actually tweaked the z10 silicon to make it easier for emulation programs to "pass through" virtualised x86 instructions to the underlying processor (I think .... my memory's kinda hazy).

Definitely interesting, as a curiosity! :-)
