Here's an example of part of a CTC definition using a FICON director which
is part of a cascade. In this case, my CTC network doesn't participate in
the cascade - it is local only - but when a director is part of a cascade,
you always have to specify ports using the "cascade" or two byte format. In
the below LINK= parameter, "0A" is the director ID and "22" is the port.
CNTLUNIT CUNUMBR=F110,PATH=((CSS(0),88)),UNITADD=((00,008)), *
LINK=((CSS(0),0A22)),CUADD=1,UNIT=FCTC
IODEVICE ADDRESS=(F110,008),UNITADD=00,CUNUMBR=(F110), *
STADET=Y, *
PARTITION=((CSS(0),SYSD,SYST,SYSB,SYSZ,SYSF,SYSG)), *
UNIT=FCTC
The HCD line command "K" is absolutely the greatest tool to validate correct
CTC definitions. The "K" line command is available on several panels within
HCD, such as the CHPID list and the Partition list.
