This is just an educational process for me.

When evaluating solutions (tape or tapeless) that can be used for both
Mainframe and Open Systems, what criteria do you use?

I know that FDR Upstream can backup Open System files to a device like a VTS
or ATL. But is the performance really there. On Open Systems, do most use
Netbackup? Is that really fast enough or provide the recovery of files for
an organization really need?

Can a cloud solution be architected to support both Open Systems and
Mainframe? Or are those separate solutions?

I probably have a lot more questions to help educate myself in this area,
but this should help me start.

Thanks
