I personally don't have experience doing so, and perhaps I'm oversimplifying, but all you should need to do is define new storage groups with the library / libraries and update ACS routine to point what you want at them - be it partially (via jobname, dsn, or some other criteria etc.) or "everything new" to facilitate the start of a migration. I'm speaking from an SMS standpoint only. Of course you have to install the hardware, do the IODF to define the MTL etc, add the volsers to the OAM TCDB etc. (EMC provides a utility to do that).
