TDMF is great, but read the limitations. Certain things cannot be moved with TDMF. Most notably: Couple datasets, active LOCAL page datasets, and I think JES checkpoint. All of these can be done dynamically. There may be more.
We've moved a lot of data this way, with no problems. _________________________________________________________________ Dave Jousma Assistant Vice President, Mainframe Services [email protected] 1830 East Paris, Grand Rapids, MIĀ 49546 MD RSCB2H p 616.653.8429 f 616.653.2717 -----Original Message----- From: IBM Mainframe Discussion List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Raju Reddy Sent: Wednesday, August 15, 2012 12:19 PM To: [email protected] Subject: IBM DS8100 to DS8870 Migration Hi All, We are planning to migrate from IBM DS8100 to DS8870(z/OS platform) in next couple of months.
