I don't do it that way. If necessary, I use "Pocket Connect Pro" on my Motorola
XOOM Android tablet. This allows me to do a "remote login" to my MS-Windows
desktop at work. I then use all my normal Windows junk from there. I don't
really much like it because my tablet does not have a mouse. "Pocket Connect
Pro" does have a mouse emulator, but it is a PITA to use. I do have a wireless
keyboard. So once I'm in a 3270 session, I don't use the emulated mouse. Also,
I can use HDMI to connect the tablet to my TV, if I want to.

But I bought a new Sony 14" laptop running MS-Windows so that I could use it.
All my other PCs at home run Linux, except for the MacMini which runs "Snow
Leopard". At work, we started using the TSG (Terminal Services Gateway) for
"work from home" use. And Linux's RDESKTOP doesn't implement the entire
protocol. So I can't use Linux any more.

Curiously, at one time, I was told that the company absolutely refused to allow
BYOD, due to security and HIPAA concerns. But I've put multiple USB connected
disks onto my two desktops because the company refused to give me an HD gt than
the "standard" 80 GiB ones they have in stock. I also have connected a large
"wide screen" monitory with implied consent "so long as nobody complains to
management about it."
