I even bought the paid version and the only real advantage to it, is it lets you display just the pf keys on the screen, so you can use a blue tooth for everything but the F-keys and hit the screen for those. You can also have your pf keys show on screen using pfshow and that helps as well.

My experience with the soft keyboard is that it works but it is a real pain to try and do anything serious. Using a Bluetooth keyboard works better for most typing but since the F-keys don't work as PF-keys you have to switch back and forth from the real keyboard to the screen keys. It's still a real pain to do anything serious but it is better than no real keyboard. I wish Mocha let you build your own keyboard. In landscape mode all the keys don't display. They have several different key sets but none of them have all the keys I want to use in a single set. In portrait mode you get a much smaller 3270 screen but with the soft keyboard displayed you do get most of the keys you need. I can't really speak to security issues since that has not been a real concern for me on a development only system. I use the virtual keyboard...and the PF keys work fine there. Just tested it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
