I agree with John C. He is undertaking dangerous actions and we should not help him push more buttons of which we and he cannot oversee the consequences, but rather persuade him to consult someone with knowledge. What would you say if you were to help someone standing with a handgranate in a fireworks depot, asking you how to remove the pin? The only answer should: put it down and run away.
