Is this a self-amplifying process ?  I'm afraid that it is so. Or at least a 
self-sustaining process.
We need to analyze what environment parameters benefits long-term planning 
businesses and does *not* benefit 90 day corporates.
And propagate those environments.  Thru laws if nothing else.
