How does that work?  I understand that MS has "cooperative" marketing
agreements such that dealers (distributors? manufacturers?) who bundle
Windows on 100% of the PCs they sell.  Is the consequence that ZaReason
which doesn't cooperate simply can't economically compete in the Windows
arena and bundles exclusively Linux (and other non-Windows OS?)

I know a Linux professional who told me she bought a Windows PC;
reformatted, and installed Linux.  That might have given her a lower
net cost or broader selection of hardware.
