For those with at least one foot in the Apple ecosystem, if you have an
i-device (ipad/iphone), drag and drop the ePub on iTunes, then sync your device
with iTunes. The books will open in the iBooks app (a free download).

If you don't have an i-device, Bookle (http://www.stairways.com/main/bookle) is
an excellent ePub reader for Mac OS.

For Windows users, see
http://blog.kowalczyk.info/articles/epub-ebook-reader-viewer-for-windows.html
for a list of ePub readers.

Android users can find a list of readers (be sure to check that they will open
ePub rather than just proprietary formats) at
http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70921.
